This is the best barber shop in Columbia, hands down. I'm one of those customers that just shows up without an appointment and every time they make me feel welcome and do their best to work me in. Today I was fortunate to get a cut from Ed Love, the owner. Wonderful guy. Great conversation and amazing cut. Really listened and offered the best advice on what would look best. He definitely treats each cut like an art form and each customer with great attention. Looking forward to more visits and I'll try to make appointments in the future!
I’m from Tampa and in Columbia for a short work stay—needed a quick trim for my hair and beard and found Danny Boy. Super friendly, great attention to detail, and he made me feel right at home. Highly recommend if you’re in town and need a solid cut!
AUTISM FRIENDLY my husband and son have been coming for years. Our son, now 11, has moderate/severe autism and when we first started coming he would wiggle so much but it never even phased our barber! Now he gets excited when he knows he’s going for a haircut. Danny cuts his hair and my husband but I know Ed would do awesome for any kids with sensory issues, disabilities, etc. great barber shop but even better people, 10/10!
I can’t enough good things about Ed and our haircut experience. Ed was warm, welcoming and put my nervous son at ease. He educated him about his hair as he cut and a little life lesson too. This is the first time in years my son has walked out of a barber shop feeling happy and confident! It was the boost this kid needed! Thank you so much!

Can't say "awesome" enough about our first trip to Soda City Barbers. My middle school son wanted to graduate from Great Clips and finally get a "cool" haircut. When my son showed Danny pictures of what he wanted, Danny smiled and calmly said, "Oh yeah, the Highland Cow." I had to look it up – who knew? – but Danny totally nailed it, and my son is ecstatic about his hair. He's already told me like 10 times he wants to go back to Soda City from now on. The shop itself – music, decor, atmosphere – is probably the coolest place in town, and both Danny and Ed were friendly, engaging and very skilled. We saw a bunch of folks with very different hair while we were there, and everybody walked out with a smile on their face. We loved this place!
Danny was very cool. The shop was interesting and comfortable. I was open to suggestions and was very pleased with the outcome. Will be back in 6-8 weeks. He gave me his card and advised when you are ready . So I have found a barber here in Columbia.
These guys are great! I walked in today with my three year-old son and Danny gave him a great haircut! Danny was so kind and engaging to my son. To top it off, my son got to watch monster trucks on TV while he got his haircut! A really cool old-school barbershop! Highly recommend!
